Your Amazing Trip to Makkah and Madinah!

Hey everyone! Are you ready to go on an incredible adventure to two very special cities: Makkah and Madinah? This trip is called Umrah (or Hajj, which is even bigger!), and it’s a super important journey for Muslims. Here’s how to make sure you have the best time ever!
Before You Go: Getting Ready!
1. Get Your Heart Ready: This trip is about getting closer to Allah (God). Think about why you’re going. It’s not just a vacation! Try to be good, say sorry for anything wrong you’ve done, and read the Quran. You can also make a list of special prayers you want to say when you get there.
2. Get Your Body Ready: You’ll be doing a lot of walking, especially in Makkah! So, start walking more now. Maybe help your parents with chores that make you move around. Also, make sure you visit the doctor to get a check-up and all your shots. You want to stay healthy and strong!
3. Get Your Stuff Ready:
- The grown-ups will handle the important papers like your visa and your umrah package 5 star booking. They might even have an umrah package from Los Angeles if you’re flying from there!
- Pack comfy clothes: Think light cotton. And make sure you have super comfy shoes for all that walking.
- Don’t forget: A small prayer mat, a little umbrella (it can get sunny!), and some hand sanitizer. Maybe a small bag for your water bottle.
In Makkah: The Amazing Grand Mosque!
1. The Holy Ka’bah: When you get to Makkah, you’ll see the Grand Mosque with the Ka’bah, a big black cube in the middle. It’s amazing! You’ll walk around it in circles, which is called Tawaf. While you walk, you can say special prayers.
2. Drinking Zamzam Water: There’s special water called Zamzam, which has been flowing for thousands of years! It’s very blessed, so drink lots of it!
3. Praying and Being Quiet: Spend as much time as you can in the Grand Mosque. It’s a great place to pray and just think quietly about Allah. It might be very crowded, so remember to be patient and kind to everyone.
4. Seeing Other Cool Places: If you have time, you can visit some mountains nearby where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to go. It’s a good way to learn more about history!
In Madinah: The Prophet’s City!
1. The Prophet’s Mosque: After Makkah, you’ll go to Madinah, the city of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). You’ll visit his beautiful mosque. It’s very peaceful.
2. Visiting the Prophet’s Grave: Inside the mosque, you can visit the grave of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and say hello to him. There’s also a special green carpet area called Rawdah, where praying has extra rewards. It might be busy, so be patient and wait your turn.
3. Exploring Madinah’s History: Madinah has many other cool places to see!
- Quba Mosque: This was the very first mosque built in Islam.
- Mount Uhud: This is a mountain where a famous battle happened a long time ago. It helps you remember the brave companions of the Prophet.
- Jannat al-Baqi: This is a cemetery where many of the Prophet’s friends are buried. You can make prayers for them.
After Your Trip: Keeping the Goodness Going!
When you come back home, you’ll feel different and special. Remember all the good things you did and saw. Keep praying, reading the Quran, and being kind to everyone. Share your amazing stories with your family and friends! This trip will make you feel closer to Allah forever.
